Father’s Day Gift Ideas

12 Jun, 2018

Father’s Day is coming up quickly. Have you figured out what to get your Dad yet? Most dads will say they just want to spend time with their children on Father’s Day, which is why we created a list of fun ‘experiences’ you can give your dad for Father’s Day.

Fishing is one of many experiences you can give dad this Father's Day.

Fishing is one of many experiences you can give dad this Father’s Day.

1. Fishing Charter
This one is for all the avid outdoorsmen in your life. Taking a fishing charter is a great way to learn about the lake and where all the “hot-spots” are for fishing. Many fishing charters provide all of the necessary supplies so you do not have to worry about forgetting something. Grab your bucket hats, fishing licenses and hop on the boat! We suggest checking out Mike Nortons Fishing Charters for Big Green Lake. Captain Mike has years of experience fishing on Big Green and he couples this knowledge with the most sophisticated electronic gear and tackle on the market. You don’t need to be a pro to go on a fishing charter; Captain Mike makes it easy and fun for everyone!

2. Golfing
The golf course is where many dads enjoy spending their free time so why not take them on a golf excursion? With several picturesque golf courses and one of the oldest courses in Wisconsin in the area, Green Lake has a course for everyone. Make it a weekend trip so you can get as many rounds in as you can. We offer golf packages that include an overnight stay as well as a round of golf at The Golf Courses of Lawsonia, Mascoutin Country Club or Tuscumbia Country Club and a discount on Evensong Spa services. What else could you need?

3. Spa Day
A spa day isn’t just for mom anymore; Dads need some R&R time too! Spend the day relaxing in a whirlpool tub or reading a book in the relaxation room before and/or after your service. Of course, we would have to recommend Evensong Spa for your Father’s Day spa retreat. Evensong spa offers facials and massages for men.

4. Boating
Boating is a fun activity that everyone in the family can enjoy. Pack some snacks, beverages, sunscreen and towels and head out on the water. If you do not own a boat you can rent one from most marinas. Action Marina offers watersport rentals at their marina in Green Lake and, if you’re staying at Heidel House Resort & Spa, you can head down to the resort’s beach for watersport rentals.

Before you go on your Father’s Day adventure, be sure to check out our Father’s Day Brunch at Grey Rock from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 17.
