Wisconsin to Table: Spurgeon Vineyards
03 May, 2018
Come try Spurgeon Vineyards wine in our new Wisconsin to Table dish at Grey Rock! For the month of May, we are using Spurgeon Vineyards wine in the cherry honey mead reduction that will be served over our Gouda & cherry chicken roulad with garlic mashed potatoes.
Established in 1977 by Glen & Mary Spurgeon, Spurgeon Vineyards & Winery is located in the scenic hills of Highland, WI and is a good home to their 16 acres of grape vines.
Spurgeon Vineyards currently produces award winning wines from grapes, various fruits and mead (a wine made from honey). The vineyards location on the hill tops maximizes the sun exposure necessary to develop high quality grapes. It also allows the frost to drain away at critical times in the spring and fall. This geographical recipe produces grapes that are a firm foundation for their family owned and operated winery.
This dish is available until May 31, 2018.
Grey Rock is open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. The piano bar opens at 4:30 p.m. and features live entertainment every Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. Be sure to check out our Grey Rock #HappyHour every Thursday and Friday from 4:30 – 6:30 PM that features a specialty charity drink by Bernie the Bartender.
