The Heidel House Tennis Remix

11 Sep, 2015

The US Open is a grand event that draws thousands of people in crowds to watch some of the world’s most notable tennis players compete for the prestigious title of US Open champ. The US Open began in the summer of 1881, where it was played on the grass courts of Newport Casino in Rhode Island. Unlike today, in which competitors advance through the season to take opening slots, when this event first began, the previous year’s winner was guaranteed the slot for the final match. The challengers then competed to take the other opening in order to try and dethrone the previous winner.

Nowadays, tennis players compete all through the year in order to gain an opening slot in the pre-matches. They then work their way to the very top, where two people compete for the final title of US Open Champion.

In honor of this great competition, Daniel Krause from the Heidel House recreation team has compiled an energizing playlist to crank up while practicing your serve. In between US Open matches, of course.

The Heidel House Resort & Spa tennis courts and equipment are complimentary amenities for resort guests during their stay in Green Lake.
