Hair, Makeup and Fashion Tips for 2014 Holiday Parties
24 Dec, 2014
We have three words for you: Sparkle. Sparkle. Sparkle. Let “sparkle” guide you as you put together that holiday attire.
Recently, our Ring in the New Year Pinterest board has included a variety of fashion tips for those upcoming New Year’s Eve parties. Let us touch on them here:
Nails: Putting two coats of black nail polish, followed by a top coat of clear nail polish, acts as the canvas for your New Year’s Eve nail art. Then, use a gold glitter polish to cover 1/3 of each nail – making the tip of the nail denser with glitter and fade as you move down the nail. Add a finishing touch by covering the entire ring finger nail, a popular nail art trend.
Eyes: A variety of festive looks cover the makeup boards of Pinterest, but one thing is certain. The smoky eye look is a good place to start. This can be done using a variety of your lighter colors – shimmer, white, silver, gold – with a combination of your darker colors – bronze, brown and black. Additionally, bringing the lighter colors just slightly below your eye toward your nose will add a sparkling effect.
Hair: Your hair cut – short, medium or long – will obviously effect how you choose to style your hair for New Year’s Eve. In this 10 Gorgeous New Year’s Eve Hairstyles pin, everything from straight to curly, short to long and up-dos to falling on the shoulders is pictured with style. Find your hair inspiration!
Attire: If there’s one thing you’ll need to tie your look together, it’s a sassy, sparkly dress. A variety of styles are popular, so take your pick. Choose a tight fight, all-over sparkle, mid-thigh cocktail dress. Or, pick something less fitting with only a trace of sparkle on the waistline or collar.
Accessorize! We’ve only touched on the 2015 New Year’s Eve style trends. Compliment these tips with sparkling bracelets, earrings and hair pieces and silver, black or gold heels.
